The Society actively welcomes donations of items relating to Tacoma’s history.

Tacoma Historical Society's collection includes but is not limited to artifacts, objects, paintings, photos, books, maps, documents, letters, and manuscripts. The Society follows guidelines set down in our Collections Policy when considering donations for inclusion in our permanent collection or for use in our educational programs.

All donated items should be accompanied by a Temporary Custody Form completed by the donor or the donor’s representative, giving Tacoma Historical Society permission to retain the item(s) during the accession process. Once the item is formally accepted, the donor will receive a Deed of Gift for his or her records.
