Each year on Memorial Day, Tacoma Historical Society sponsors a service at War Memorial Park.
Memorial Day 2026: Honoring 250 Years of Sacrifice

This year's Memorial Day Service features the Silas High School Marine Junior ROTC Color Guard, music by the 133rd Army Band Brass Quartet, wreath laying by Edward B. Rhodes-American Legion Post 2, and featured speaker Col. Jack Mushallo, Washington Army National Guard Chief of Staff.
All are welcome to attend this free event, which will proceed rain or shine.
